integrated hardened steel pins to provide maximum security of the boot.
The footplate is supported by a double balance arch system that distributes weight evenly across the base of the stirrup frame. The apex of the frame is recessed and offset, encouraging a 45º outward angle, making it easier for the rider to find the optimal foot angle and regain a lost stirrup.
An integrated safety arm features a two-stage release system, preventing accidental opening. The spring-loaded safety arm locks into the base of the main frame, meaning that under maximum pressure, such as when landing over a fence, the rider's weight is evenly distributed across the stirrup, preventing the outside from sinking and bending. When pressure is applied to the stirrup arm, such as when the rider falls, the arm releases, allowing the foot to exit the stirrup and preventing it from becoming trapped. The stirrup arm breakout force was 36N (equal to 3.62kg) during testing, meaning there is enough resistance to prevent the stirrup from opening accidentally, yet the stirrup will release safely if the rider falls.
