Size chart

The correct size is essential for both comfort and performance in equestrian sports. At Maddelin Equestrian, we are happy to help you choose the right size, so that your equipment fits perfectly - whether it's riding apparel, helmets, boots, or accessories.
A well-fitting outfit not only provides more comfort but also better performance in the saddle. Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Therefore, we recommend always measuring accurately and using our size charts as a guide.
Our size charts are organized by product category and brand, allowing you to choose as specifically as possible. Since fits can vary by brand, you will find specific information with each product to guide you.

Product Information
The LeMieux Arika Cavesson Bridle is a bridle in European leather with an anatomically shaped, padded headpiece, a padded cavesson noseband and a browband set with crystals. It is intended for riders looking for a refined bridle that sits comfortably during training and competition. Reins are not included.
About this bridle
The LeMieux Arika line stands for a luxurious finish on an anatomical foundation. This cavesson model is a good example of that: the shape is well thought out, the decoration stays limited to the browband.
The headpiece is anatomically shaped and softly padded. Because it is cut wider and runs clear behind the ears, pressure is spread over a larger surface and the bridle stays quietly in place. That leaves your horse more freedom of movement through the poll, even after a long session.
The noseband is an anatomically shaped, generously padded cavesson noseband. Cavesson here means: a single noseband above the bit, without a flash strap underneath. Because the strap is pre-shaped and the padding thick enough, pressure is spread and rub and pressure points stay limited. That is welcome on horses that quickly become sensitive over the nasal bone.
The browband is set with crystals. They sit tightly in the leather, which preserves the classic line of the bridle and keeps the sparkle refined rather than showy. The fittings are stainless steel, which makes the whole bridle durable and easy to look after.
The leather is supple European leather that moulds to your horse's head. After a short breaking-in period the bridle sits stably and follows the contours of the head. The model is available in black and in brown, each with silver-coloured fittings, in size Full.
Key benefits
- Padded anatomical headpiece that spreads pressure behind the ears
- Generously padded cavesson noseband that limits rub points
- Browband with crystals without losing the classic character
- Stainless steel fittings that will not rust
- Supple European leather that moulds to the head
- Easy to adjust, since there is no flash strap to deal with
- Available in black and brown
Practical advice
This model is offered in size Full. Before ordering, compare the noseband circumference and cheekpiece length with a bridle that fits your horse well; Full is intended for the average warmblood. If your horse has a markedly long or short head, let us take a look with you beforehand.
When fitting, keep the noseband roughly two fingers below the cheekbone, with two fingers of room over the nasal bone. A cavesson noseband does not need to be tight: it must not clamp the mouth shut. Check that the headpiece sits clear behind the ears and that the browband does not press against the base of the ears.
Wipe the leather dry after every ride. Clean it every few weeks with saddle soap and then feed it with a leather balm so it stays supple. Work around the crystals with a dry, soft cloth and avoid soap residue there. Always let a wet bridle dry slowly at room temperature.
When to choose this bridle
The Arika Cavesson suits riders who want an anatomical bridle with a luxurious touch and who ride without a flash strap. For dressage, jumping or simply daily work it is equally usable; the deciding factor is your preference for the cavesson model.
If you want more stability around the bit, a model with a combined noseband from our range makes more sense. If you are after a pronounced dressage look in patent leather, the dressage model within the same line is the better choice. And if you have a pony or a horse outside size Full, let us know and we will go through the options.
