We offer this bridle in Full size, the usual size for most warmblood horses. Measure your current bridle and compare cheekpiece and noseband if you are in doubt.

With a flash strap, everything comes down to adjustment. Fit the noseband itself first, two fingers below the cheekbone and set so your horse can chew easily. Only then do you fasten the flash strap, and it must never be tighter than the noseband itself: it is there to keep the bit quiet, not to pull the mouth shut. Check both again after a few rides, because new leather stretches slightly.

Care for the leather after every ride: wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, dry it at room temperature away from a heat source, and treat it regularly with leather soap and leather balm. Keep the fittings looking good by wiping them dry, certainly after a sweaty ride.

This bridle suits riders looking for a more stable contact and horses that like to shift the bit around or open the mouth. Both for daily schooling work and for competitions.

If your horse already works quietly on the bit, you do not need that flash strap and you are better off with a bridle from our range with a noseband only: it is simpler to adjust and gives your horse more room in the mouth. If you ride a discipline with its own regulations, check your federation's rules before competing in this bridle.
