Wet the coat first, shake the bottle and spray the shampoo onto the areas you are washing. Rub in, do not let it dry on and then rinse thoroughly with water. Pull off the excess water with a sweat scraper; that is what Effol prescribes and it shortens drying time considerably.

Work on a still day that is not too cold, because your horse stays wet. On a grey with yellow marks on the legs or tail it makes sense to go over those areas a second time rather than using more product everywhere.

The shampoo causes serious eye irritation (H319). Do not spray towards the head and wash the face with a damp cloth rather than with the spray. If product gets into the eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes and remove contact lenses if you can; if eye irritation persists, consult a doctor. Keep the bottle tightly closed, out of sunlight and away from heat.

This shampoo is for owners of greys, duns and other light coats who want a real wash before a show or in-hand class and are able to rinse afterwards. Count on water, a sweat scraper and a day on which your horse can dry.
