Vestrum Competition Shirt Edasic Men

This is the shirt for a summer competition: thin, light and with plenty of stretch. Lay a white stock or tie over it when the class asks for that, and combine it with a breathable show jacket and white breeches. On a day with several tests keep a second shirt in the bag: a thin short sleeve lies close to the skin and is damp soon after a course. Wash at no more than thirty degrees and without bleach, and do not use the tumble dryer. Ironing is allowed up to one hundred and ten degrees. Dry cleaning is not allowed on this model, so rather treat a stain yourself straight away than take it to the dry cleaner.

Choose the Edasic if you are a man who competes in summer and wants a quiet white shirt with plenty of stretch and no decoration. It suits dressage, showjumping and the dressage test of an eventing competition, where short sleeves are permitted. If you need long sleeves for spring or winter, look within the range for a men's model with long sleeves, for instance the Boss Equestrian Elton competition shirt. This shirt consists of a single technical weave of polyamide with elastane, and that dries readily after riding. Vestrum keeps the wash temperature at thirty degrees, forbids bleach and dry cleaning and does not want the shirt in the tumble dryer. Because the version is plain white, it pays to rinse the collar and the underarm area out straight away after a warm day. Ironing is allowed up to one hundred and ten degrees; keep the iron away from the embroidered logo on the collar.

What is this shirt made of?

Vestrum states 75% polyamide and 25% elastane, one composition for the whole shirt. That is a high share of elastane for a shirt and explains the stretch.

Is this shirt suitable for an official test?

It is white and has short sleeves. In showjumping, FEI Jumping Rules article 207.2.3 asks for a white collar, a white tie, stock or choker and, with long sleeves, white cuffs; short sleeves are permitted there and for children and pony riders the whole shirt must be white. The Belgian dressage rules ask for a white shirt and, if the jacket may come off, sleeves that cover at least the shoulders; the tie remains compulsory there even then. Rules differ by federation, by discipline, by level and by country and change regularly, so check the current rules of your own federation.

We stock the shirt in XS (men's 44) and S (men's 46). Vestrum publishes no size guide in centimetres.

How do I wash this shirt?

At no more than thirty degrees, without bleach and not in the tumble dryer. Ironing is allowed up to one hundred and ten degrees. Dry cleaning is not allowed on this model.

Vestrum gives China as the country of manufacture for this model. The women's shirts from the same batch are, according to Vestrum, made in Italy.
