Product Information

Sprenger TURNADO – Loose Rings – Sensogan

Correction with finesse – for more balance, ease and tongue friendliness

The Sprenger TURNADO with loose rings is a true innovation in the world of double-jointed bits. By rotating the mouthpiece 45° forward , an even contact surface is created on both sides of the tongue, ensuring balanced pressure distribution and better bit acceptance.

This unique positioning effectively supports the horse's natural asymmetry . The bit feels evenly on both the left and right sides , which helps with crooked horses or differences in bending.

What makes this bit so special:

45° rotated pivot point – for symmetrical tongue pressure and better balance

Loose rings provide more freedom of movement and a comfortable fit

Sandblasted mark on the hinge – visual check of the correct position in the mouth

Made from Sensogan – a Sprenger-exclusive metal alloy known for its excellent acceptance, softness and saliva-promoting properties

Tongue-friendly design – promotes relaxation, especially in sensitive or young horses

Sensogan was developed for horses that are sensitive to standard metal bits. It stimulates saliva production, which improves suppleness in the contact and jaw joint. The mouthpiece is also free of heavy metals such as nickel – perfect for horses with metal sensitivity.

Type : Double jointed – TURNADO

Mouthpiece : 45° rotated, tongue-friendly

If in doubt about the correct bit choice, consult a bit fitter or instructor.

Regularly check the corners of your horse's mouth and its behaviour to see if the bit fits.

Rinse the bit after each ride and check it for wear or sharp edges.

For whom?

For riders looking for a bit that suits their horse's mouth and needs.

When do you use this?

During training and, if permitted by regulations, in competition.

For which horses?

The right bit choice depends on your horse's mouth conformation and preference; if in doubt, ask for advice.

When is an alternative better?

If your horse does not respond well to this mouthpiece, consult a bit fitter about alternatives.

Attach the bit to the bridle and adjust the height so that it rests gently in the corners of the mouth, without creating wrinkles or hanging too low. Rinse the bit after each ride.
