Description
The Trolle Tech Twill Unlined in black is an unlined show jacket for riders who want a light layer on warm days. Without a lining the jacket weighs less and lets air through more readily, while the Tech Twill fabric keeps enough structure for a smart line in the ring. Available in XS, S and M.
About this show jacket
The difference from a classic show jacket lies in what is not there: the lining. A lined jacket puts two layers of fabric between you and the outside air, which you notice on a summer show day. This model leaves out that second layer, so the jacket feels lighter and heat can escape faster. For summer training and long competition days that is a noticeable difference.
Tech Twill is the fabric Trolle uses for this model. Twill has a fine diagonal weave that gives the jacket a structured, matt appearance rather than a shiny one. The fabric contains enough stretch to follow every movement in the saddle: you can bring your arms forward over a fence or carry your shoulders open in a dressage test without the material working against you.
The cut is feminine and keeps a clean line. There are no striking contrast details or large logos on it, which makes this a quiet jacket you can combine with any competition shirt and any breeches. The black is timeless and lasts several seasons without dating.
The material composition in percentages is not stated by the manufacturer, nor is the pocket layout or the fastening. What is established: unlined, Tech Twill with stretch, breathable, and a feminine cut.
Key benefits
- Unlined, so lighter and airier than a classic show jacket
- Stretch that gives you freedom of movement in dressage and show jumping
- Tech Twill holds its shape and looks structured, not limp
- Quiet black design without conspicuous details
- Feminine cut for a smart silhouette
- Usable at competitions and during intensive training
When to choose this product
This is the choice for riders who often ride in summer or in a warm indoor arena and want to avoid the weight of a lined jacket. It suits a dressage test as well as a jumping course, and the understated black makes it broadly usable.
If you ride mainly in spring and autumn and want a bit more body and finish around the shoulders, a lined women's competition model from our range is the better fit. If you want colour instead of black, look at a model offered in several colours.
Fit
The Tech Twill Unlined has a feminine cut with a clean line. Sizes follow the EU and IT system, from XS (EU34 - IT38) to M (EU38 - IT42); the current sizes are shown in the size selector on the page.
Nothing indicates that the jacket runs small or large, so go by your usual EU or IT size. If you are unsure between two sizes, or you usually ride in a body protector or airbag vest, get in touch with us before choosing a size.

Expert advice
Because this jacket is unlined, the layer underneath matters more than with a lined model. A technical competition shirt that wicks moisture works best here; a shirt that holds moisture you feel through the single layer of fabric. Hang the jacket open to dry after your test before you put it away.
The manufacturer states nothing about washing, so stick to the care label in the jacket. An unlined technical fabric creases less easily than you might expect, but still store it hanging in a jacket cover rather than folded in the car.
Use & care
You wear the jacket in dressage and show jumping, at shows and on warm training days. Because it is unlined, you feel what you wear underneath: choose a technical competition shirt that wicks moisture. In winter, wear it over a warmer layer. After your test, hang the jacket up open to dry before you put it away.
The manufacturer gives no washing instructions, so stick to the care label in the jacket. Preferably store it hanging in a garment bag rather than folded in the car.
Frequently asked questions
How does this show jacket fit?
The sizes are given as XS (EU34 - IT38), S (EU36 - IT40) and M (EU38 - IT42). The cut is feminine, but it is not specified that the jacket runs small or large. So work from your usual EU or IT size and contact us if you doubt between two sizes.
Can I wear this jacket over a body protector or airbag vest?
That is not specified for this model. If you always ride with a body protector or airbag vest, contact us before you choose a size.
Does this jacket exist in other sizes or colours?
What we stock as standard is listed under the technical specifications. Other sizes or colours we can order in on request.
What does unlined mean in practice?
There is no second layer of fabric on the inside. That makes the jacket lighter and airier, and you feel what you wear underneath more quickly.
Is this jacket suitable for dressage and show jumping?
Yes. The stretch and the clean black finish make it usable in both disciplines.
Is this jacket also suitable for cold weather?
Without a lining this is mainly a jacket for warmer days. In winter you are better off wearing it over a warmer layer, or choosing a lined model.
How do I wash this jacket?
Follow the care label in the jacket. The manufacturer states no wash temperature or programme.
