Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Trolle Aero Competition Polo Balance is a short-sleeve men's competition polo from Trolle Projects' own line. Trolle makes it in technical jersey with a sealed zip, a knitted Xdry panel and a back panel with Balance technology. Meant for men who want a light, quick-drying polo under their show jacket. At Maddelin in white, in sizes S and M.
About this competition polo
Trolle calls this model the Aero Male Competition Polo Balance. It is a short-sleeve polo in technical jersey, which the brand describes as breathable and quick-drying. The fastening at the front is a sealed zip with printed detailing. The Plus Tech logo sits on the right sleeve, and the back panel is knitted with a star gradient.
The difference from the ordinary Aero polo lies in the construction. This version has a knitted Xdry panel and a back panel with integrated Balance technology. Trolle also names Sensitive Fabrics as the fabric used. What those technologies do in measurable terms, the brand does not document. The polo is made in Italy.
The composition Trolle states appears under the technical details, with the knitted panel listed separately. For the white version, the fabric choice means in practice: light, close-fitting and quick to dry, but also thin. A competition shirt of this type does not keep you warm, so on cold days you need a layer underneath or a jacket.
For showjumping, FEI Jumping Rules article 207.2.3 requires a white collar and a white tie, stock or choker; short sleeves are permitted there. In dressage the FEI rules lay down nothing about the shirt: article 431 asks only for a white or off-white stock or tie. The Belgian rules are stricter and require a white shirt. Manufacturers' logos are, in the FEI General Regulations, limited to 3 cm², and 16 cm² on the collar. Rules differ by federation, discipline, level and country and change from time to time, so check the current rulebook of your own federation.
The limitations can be listed plainly. White is sensitive to stains and to sweat marks under a jacket. The cut is a slim fit in Italian sizing, so narrow. Maddelin carries two sizes, S and M, and one colour. Trolle publishes no washing instructions for this model.
