Size guide

A correct size is essential for both comfort and performance in equestrian sports. At Maddelin Equestrian, we are happy to help you choose the right size so that your equipment fits perfectly—whether it's riding apparel, helmets, boots, or accessories.
A well-fitting outfit not only ensures greater comfort but also better performance in the saddle. Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Therefore, we recommend always measuring accurately and using our size charts as a guide.
Our size charts are organized by product category and brand, allowing you to choose as precisely as possible. Because fits can vary by brand, you will find specific information with each product to guide you.
How to measure correctly?
For the best results, always measure with a flexible tape measure, close to the body but without tightening.
-
Chest circumference: measure around the widest part of the chest
-
Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your waist
-
Hips: measure around the widest part of the hips
-
Inseam length: measure from groin to ankle
-
Head circumference (helmets): measure just above the eyebrows and ears
-
Calf circumference & height (boots/chaps): measure the widest part of the calf and the height from heel to hollow of the knee
If you are in doubt between two sizes? We usually advise choosing the larger size for extra comfort, unless otherwise stated with the product.
At Maddelin, we believe that the right fit makes all the difference between just riding and truly riding well. Use our size charts as a guide and confidently choose the size that suits you and your horse.
Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge – Anatomical Double-Jointed Snaffle Bit
Refined communication, anatomical shape – for a quiet hand and a relaxed horse
The Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge is a double-jointed anatomical bit that excels in comfort, stability, and refined pressure distribution. Thanks to its distinctive angled lozenge (angled mouthpiece center), the mouthpiece perfectly follows the shape of the horse's mouth, thereby preventing pinching and tongue pressure.
This bit is designed to support straightness, suppleness, and relaxation, and is recommended worldwide by bit fitters for young, sensitive, and advanced horses.
