This bridle is offered in size Full. Because there is no throatlash, the fit depends entirely on the headpiece and the cheekpieces. So check especially carefully that the headpiece sits just behind the ears and that the bit reaches the right height in the mouth, with a slight wrinkle at the corner.

Fasten the noseband so that two fingers still fit underneath. Set the flash strap looser than the noseband itself. If you work with young horses, you can perfectly well start without the flash strap and add it later, once you feel you need it.

Check the clips on the cheekpieces regularly. Rinse them if sand or dust works its way in and dry them afterwards, so they keep moving smoothly. The leather itself gets standard care: wipe down after the ride, clean with saddle soap now and then and grease lightly. Let wet leather dry slowly at room temperature.

This bridle belongs in a working yard: with trainers, instructors and riders who ride several horses a day, and with anyone who changes bits often. It is handy for work with young horses too, because the simple build lets you bridle and unbridle quickly and leave the flash strap off if you prefer.

If you want a bridle with a throatlash, choose a different model from our range: a throatlash gives you an extra strap holding the bridle in place, and some riders would rather not do without it. If you are after something for a dressage test or a show, a bridle with a classic, complete build is the more obvious choice. And if you like buckles on the cheekpieces because you find them quieter to look at, the clips here are not what you are looking for.

Slide the headpiece over the ears and close the single buckle over the head. The bit clips onto the cheekpieces, so you can change bits quickly. Fasten the noseband with two fingers of room; the half-inch flash strap sits looser or comes off. Reins are not included.
