Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Tommy Hilfiger Serano Quilted Vest Young Rider is a lightly insulated, padded bodywarmer for young riders. The sleeveless design pairs a classic puffer construction with light insulation and wind-resistant properties. It is the extra layer for training, stable work and the moments around the horse where a jacket with sleeves would be too much.
About this bodywarmer
Outer fabric, lining and filling are all 100% polyester. The polyester filling provides the light insulation of the vest. Tommy Hilfiger describes the model explicitly as lightly insulated, so expect a light insulating layer rather than a stand-in for a heavily padded winter jacket.
The advantage of a bodywarmer in the saddle lies in the sleeveless construction. Arms and shoulders stay free while the torso gains a layer. That makes this kind of garment practical in active moments when you want warmth around the upper body without a full puffer jacket.
The Serano is wind-resistant too, which limits the direct effect of wind on the covered parts of the upper body. No water-repellent or waterproof property is stated, so in rain you will want a weatherproof outer layer over it.
The full specified material construction contains no components of animal origin. The finish is recognisably Tommy Hilfiger Equestrian: a TH logo patch, a matching zip puller and Global Stripe details.
That light insulation makes the Serano versatile: an outer layer in milder conditions, an extra layer when it turns colder. On genuinely cold winter days, a more heavily insulated jacket with sleeves gives you more cover.
