Size guide

A correct size is essential for both comfort and performance in equestrian sports. At Maddelin Equestrian, we are happy to help you choose the right size so that your equipment fits perfectly—whether it's riding apparel, helmets, boots, or accessories.
A well-fitting outfit not only ensures greater comfort but also better performance in the saddle. Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Therefore, we recommend always measuring accurately and using our size charts as a guide.
Our size charts are organized by product category and brand, allowing you to choose as precisely as possible. Because fits can vary by brand, you will find specific information with each product to guide you.
How to measure correctly?
For the best results, always measure with a flexible tape measure, close to the body but without tightening.
-
Chest circumference: measure around the widest part of the chest
-
Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your waist
-
Hips: measure around the widest part of the hips
-
Inseam length: measure from groin to ankle
-
Head circumference (helmets): measure just above the eyebrows and ears
-
Calf circumference & height (boots/chaps): measure the widest part of the calf and the height from heel to hollow of the knee
If you are in doubt between two sizes? We usually advise choosing the larger size for extra comfort, unless otherwise stated with the product.
At Maddelin, we believe that the right fit makes all the difference between just riding and truly riding well. Use our size charts as a guide and confidently choose the size that suits you and your horse.
Trust Sweet Iron Baby Pelham – High Port
Extra tongue freedom and refined control – the Trust Sweet Iron Baby Pelham High Port offers the perfect combination of stability, comfort, and light leverage. Developed for riders who need subtle support for horses that require extra space in the mouth.
Why choose the Trust Sweet Iron Baby Pelham High Port
-
High Port Design : The high port arch provides maximum tongue space, reduces pressure and helps horses relax more and develop a quieter connection.
-
Sweet Iron Mouthpiece : Stimulates saliva production through oxidation (the sweet taste that develops during use), resulting in better bit acceptance and relaxation.
-
Baby Pelham cheek pieces : The short shanks provide a gentler leverage action than a standard Pelham, ideal for riders who want refined control without a sharp bite.
-
Versatile Rein Options : Option to ride with double reins for separate control of lever and bit action, or with Pelham straps for easier use.
