Stübben Jumping Girth Pro-Jump Safety

Attach the girth strap of your breastplate or martingale to the Safety Stick and check that everything is properly closed before you get on. The system is designed to open under a downward pull. If it has opened after an incident, check first that the breastplate, martingale and girth are in order before riding on.

If you ride without a breastplate or martingale, the Safety Stick adds little and a classic stud girth will do. Stübben does not detail the girth's material on the product page and gives no care instructions. You are welcome to come and look at it in the shop.

Choose the Pro-Jump Safety if you jump with a breastplate or martingale attached to the girth and want that connection to release when your horse catches a hoof or stud in it. At the same time you get an anatomically shaped stud girth.

The Safety Stick is Stübben's patented attachment system for breastplate and martingale on this stud girth. If your horse catches a hoof or stud in the breastplate or martingale, it quickly releases from the girth.

Can the Safety Stick open over a fence?
According to Stübben, the system only opens under a downward pull. It does not open unintentionally over a fence or if the saddle slips back.

Will my breastplate or martingale fit the Safety Stick?
Stübben states that the shape of the Safety Stick is compatible with most breastplates and martingales. If you are unsure, bring your breastplate to the shop.

How does it differ from the Stübben Contour?
Both are anatomical stud girths. The Pro-Jump Safety has the Safety Stick for breastplate and martingale. The Contour is a one-piece leather girth with no centre seam, cushion leather on the inside, triple elastic at both ends and fixed D-rings.

How do I care for this girth?
