Stübben Contour Girth

Position the girth so the belly guard sits centrally under the belly. Tighten gradually, alternating left and right, and do not overtighten. Stübben recommends checking the girth again after a few steps and taking it up a hole if needed.

If you ride with a breastplate with a girth strap or a martingale, attach it to the centre D-ring. Draw reins clip onto the D-rings below the elastics. Leather does not like a soaking: wipe the girth down after a wet session rather than leaving it wet through.

What is the difference between a stud girth and an ordinary jumping girth?
