PRODUCT INFORMATION
The Stübben STEELtec Pelham Rubber Single Jointed Bit combines the refined action of a Pelham with the comfort of a rubber-coated mouthpiece. This bit has been developed for riders who need extra control and precision, without compromising on gentleness in the horse's mouth. Thanks to the rubber coating, the mouthpiece feels warmer and more pleasant than traditional metal, which can promote acceptance by sensitive horses.
The single jointed mouthpiece ensures clear, direct communication between the rider's hand and the horse's mouth. The relatively slim thickness of just 16 mm offers more room in the mouth than many standard rubber bits, making it more comfortable and reducing the chance of pressure points or friction.
Stübben's short Pelham shanks are characterized by their quick and direct action. This allows the horse to react more precisely to aids, which can be a particular advantage during show jumping courses, technical turns, and situations where direct control is desired. The reduced leverage compared to longer Pelhams makes the bit more refined to use without losing effectiveness.
In addition, the flat curb chain hooks reduce the likelihood of the lips getting pinched and make precise adjustment easier. The high-quality STEELtec finish guarantees a durable construction without sharp edges, ensuring that both comfort and safety are paramount.
