Schockemöhle Stanton Select Anatomical Bridle

This bridle is offered in size X-Full. That is the roomiest size and it generally suits horses with a large or long head. If you are in doubt about size, measure your current bridle along the headpiece, noseband and cheekpieces and compare those lengths; that works more reliably than going by your horse's height.

Adjust the noseband so that you can easily fit two fingers underneath, and never tighten the flash strap more than the noseband itself. A combined noseband only works quietly when both straps stay loose enough.

New leather needs time. Rub the bridle with a thin layer of leather balm before first use and repeat that in the first weeks. After that it is enough to remove sweat and sand with a damp cloth after every ride and to clean and condition it every few weeks with mild leather soap. Never let leather dry near a heat source.

You choose the Stanton Select when you want a classic-looking bridle with an anatomical headpiece and a slim noseband, and when the idea of combining parts yourself appeals to you. It suits dressage, jumping, eventing and simply daily work.

If you would rather buy a bridle that is complete and in one fixed configuration straight away, a model outside the Select line is simpler. If you want more sparkle on the browband, look within our range at a model with a decorated browband. And if you ride a horse with a small head, this item in X-Full will probably be too roomy; ask us about a smaller size in that case.
