Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Sprenger ULTRA fit EXTRA GRIP Comfort Roller 35 mm is a stainless steel rowel spur with a wide, smooth and horizontally mounted Comfort Roller rowel. It was developed for riders who want to combine a soft action with clear contact between spur and horse. Because the rowel sits horizontally, it is closer to the horse's belly, so you make contact without moving your leg out of position.
About these spurs
The wide, thick Comfort Roller rowel spreads the contact over a larger area than a thin or pointed rowel does. That makes the spur act more softly. Sprenger recommends the Comfort Roller range specifically for sensitive horses and horses with a sensitive coat; the wide rolling surface also limits friction on the coat.
What sets this version apart is the horizontal position of the rowel. It shortens the distance to the horse's belly, so you make contact sooner without shifting your leg. That helps you keep your leg position quiet.
The spur arms are covered with EXTRA GRIP rubber. This covering grips the riding boot and limits sliding of the spur. At the same time there is less direct friction between the stainless steel and the boot leather.
The Balkenhol fastening has a smaller strap loop and an outward-set centre bridge, so the spur strap can run along the inside of the riding boot. The construction aims at a secure, comfortable and stable position for the spur.
Sprenger makes these spurs in Germany from HS stainless steel. The spur arms can be bent carefully, which lets you adjust the fit individually to your foot and your riding boot.
When choosing, pay close attention to the two different length measurements. The official Neck Size is 35 mm, the Neck size measured from boot is 45 mm. The spur is therefore called a 35 mm model, while the measurement taken from the boot is 45 mm. Spur straps are not included.
