Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Sprenger ULTRA fit EXTRA GRIP Comfort Roller 35 mm is a stainless steel rowel spur for riders who want to refine their leg aid with a relatively soft action. The vertical Comfort Roller is wide, smooth and rounded, so the contact is spread over a larger surface than with a thin or pointed rowel. Sprenger recommends this version for sensitive horses and horses with a sensitive coat. As with any spur, a correct, controlled leg remains the basis.
About these spurs
The wide, smoothly turning rowel was developed to limit friction on the coat. That makes this version interesting when your horse reacts sensitively to an ordinary rowel, while you still want to be able to give a clear aid.
The arms are fitted with the EXTRA GRIP rubber coating. It helps keep the spur stable on your riding boot and at the same time reduces the direct friction of the stainless steel against the boot leather. The arms can also be bent carefully to adjust the fit to your foot and your boot.
Do note the Balkenhol fastening for the spur straps. It has a smaller strap loop and a centre bridge set further outwards, so the strap can run along the inside of the boot. The aim is to let the spur sit stably and comfortably.
The spurs are made of HS stainless steel and produced in Germany. The material is sturdy and suited to regular use in equestrian sport; the rubber coating is hard-wearing too and easy to keep clean.
When ordering, look carefully at the two stated lengths. The official Neck Size is 35 mm, while the Neck size measured from boot is 45 mm. That second measurement is therefore the distance measured from the boot.
The Comfort Roller has to be able to keep turning freely. So check regularly that no hair, sand or dirt is stuck between the rowel and the spur neck. Spur straps are not included.
