Measure your head circumference before you choose a size: lay the tape measure around the widest point of your head, about a finger's width above your eyebrows, and read it off in centimetres. If you sit between two sizes, changing the liner usually solves it. In that case do drop by, and we will fit it together.

A helmet should sit evenly and must not turn when you shake your head with the closure open.

Care is straightforward. You wipe the outside with a damp cloth. You take the liner out for a hand wash or a machine wash at 30°C. Do not tumble dry: let the liner air dry. Afterwards keep the helmet in a well-ventilated helmet bag.

If your helmet has been dropped, even without you wearing it, have it checked or replace it. On the outside you cannot see damage to the shock-absorbing layer.

This helmet is meant for riders who want an understated, monochrome look: no gloss, no contrasting colour, only black. It works in dressage, jumping and eventing, from training to competition, and simply for daily riding as well.

If you would rather have colour accents or a navy shell, look at the regular Shadowmatt 2.0 in our range, which you can compose with tops, trims and blazons. If you are looking for a wider peak and an outspoken finish with crystals or chrome details, the Miss versions are a closer match. If you want a glossy rather than a matt shell, a Glossy version is the better choice.

Which size do I take?
Choose on the basis of your head circumference in centimetres: S (52-56 cm), M (55-58 cm), L (57-61 cm) or XL (61-64 cm). The sizes overlap, so if in doubt the fit decides and not the number.

Which safety certification does this helmet have?
The exact certification is stated on the label inside the helmet. If you compete, check the current list of accepted standards with the FEI or with your own federation, as those requirements are tightening.

What do I do after my helmet has been dropped?
Do not use it again without a check. Have the helmet inspected or replace it, even if you see nothing on the outside.

Can I wash the inner liner?
Yes. The liner clicks out and can be washed by hand or in the machine at 30°C. Let it air dry.

Can I adjust the fit?
Yes. By clicking a different liner into the same shell, you change the fit without changing helmets.

How does the Darkline differ from a regular Shadowmatt?
In the finish: on the Darkline the top, the trim and the blazon are black as well, so the helmet looks completely even.

How do I care for this helmet?
Wipe the outside with a damp cloth, wash the liner separately, and store in a well-ventilated helmet bag.
