Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.

Rugs

How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.

Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.

The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Seaver Safefit Crystal Rain – an airbag vest with a Swarovski® finish

The Seaver Safefit Crystal Rain airbag vest combines quality protection with an elegant, exclusive look. The subtle Swarovski® crystal detailing gives it a refined appearance, while the safety technology is the same as on the well-known Safefit model. Suitable for riders who want to look their best in training and at shows alike.

The vest uses the dependable Seaver Safefit airbag system, which is triggered mechanically as soon as the rider separates from the horse. The airbag inflates in approximately 200 milliseconds and covers the neck, chest, back, ribs and abdomen in a fall.

The ergonomic, tailored fit and light stretch materials allow excellent freedom of movement. Breathable mesh panels add to the wearing comfort, even during intensive training or on warm days. The Safefit Crystal Rain can be worn over your riding clothes and also works with airbag-compatible show jackets that have enough stretch.

The vest is also compatible with Seaver SAFERIDE. Through the Seaver app, contacts you set in advance can be alerted automatically after a fall and receive your location, which adds peace of mind when you are out hacking. An activation code for one year of SAFERIDE is included with your purchase.

With the Seaver Safefit Crystal Rain airbag vest you get protection, comfort and a stylish finish in one.

Make it a habit to detach the saddle strap before dismounting, to avoid unintentional activation of the vest.

Check the CO2 cartridge and trigger regularly according to the manual.

If desired, combine the vest with a body protector where regulations require it.

How does activation work?

A lanyard connects the vest to the saddle; in case of a fall, the lanyard pulls the trigger and the vest inflates.

When is an alternative better?

For eventing, additional rules often apply; check whether an (additional) body protector is mandatory.

Not machine washable.
Do not immerse in water.
Clean with a slightly damp stiff brush.
Air dry, preferably on a hanger.
Before each use, check the CO₂ cartridge and the activation system.
Only use original Seaver CO₂ cartridges.

You replace the CO2 cartridge according to the manual and the vest is ready for use again.

Will I forget the cord when dismounting?

Make unclipping a habit; the cord unclips easily.

Does this restrict my freedom of movement?
