Let the clipper run briefly so the oil spreads and wipe off the excess, so no oil is left behind in the coat. Repeat this during longer clips, and certainly whenever you notice the blades getting warmer or moving more slowly through the coat.

After clipping, clean the blades and leave a thin film of oil on them before you store them. That keeps them supple and counters corrosion. Blades you keep clean and oiled as a matter of course stay sharp for longer. If they do go blunt, you can have them resharpened through our sharpening service; hand them in properly cleaned.

This oil is the basis for anyone who clips or trims themselves, and the logical choice if you work with Wahl equipment and want to stay with the same brand. It is just as usable for the daily care of a trimmer as for a large clipper.
