Product Information
The Premiere Condor is a cordless clipper for detail work on the head, ears, legs and sensitive areas. With an adjustable cutting length from 0.5 to 2 mm, four attachment combs and five speeds you match the clipper to the area you are working on. The li-ion battery lets you work cordless for up to 2.5 hours, including in a yard with no socket nearby.
About this clipper
The Condor is a trimmer, not a machine for clipping a whole horse. It is compact and light, so you can steer it with one hand while the other pulls the skin taut or holds the bridle. Around the ears, the jawline and the coronet band is exactly where you need that control.
Through the digital display you choose between five speeds from 5000 to 7000 rpm. On a lower setting the clipper runs more quietly and vibrates less, which helps with a young horse or an animal that tenses up at noise. If you are going through a thicker coat or want to get on faster, you move up a setting.
The bottom blade is titanium, the moving top blade is ceramic. Ceramic heats up more slowly than steel, and heat build-up is exactly what you run into during longer detail work: a blade that gets hot cuts less smoothly and feels unpleasant to the horse. The combination also stays sharp longer than an ordinary steel set.
The cutting length is adjustable from 0.5 to 2 mm without having to change blades. On top of that you get four attachment combs to leave the hair longer. In practice that means: very short for a crisp line around the bridle, slightly longer when you want a transition that does not show.
Working cordless has another advantage that is often forgotten: there is no cable around your horse's legs. That saves unrest and gives you the freedom to walk around the animal instead of having to move it.
