Product Information
The Vestrum San Diego TK Young are knee grip riding breeches that Vestrum lists as a boys' model. The silicone sits only on the inside of the knee; the seat has no grip. This page shows the Dark Grey colourway, dark grey breeches for lessons and training, in size 146-152 (age 11-12).
About these breeches
Vestrum is an Italian brand and makes the San Diego in its own TK fabric. The brand describes it as bi-elastic and very light. Bi-elastic means the fabric stretches in two directions.
The grip consists of silicone inserts at the knee. Vestrum itself says they provide a secure hold. The difference from full grip: there, the grip also covers the seat. Knee grip is not just for show jumpers. Where the grip sits is a matter of feel and preference.
What makes the San Diego recognisable are the two back pockets with a custom Vestrum press stud. The brand calls the fit regular fit.
Dark Grey is a practical training colour. For competitions, white and beige are usual; check the rules of your discipline and federation.
