Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.

Rugs

How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.

Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.

The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

The Samshield Woven Tie is a white woven competition tie with a smooth, dense surface, a discreet Samshield rivet and an integrated hook that keeps it taut under the collar. Wrinkle-resistant and easy to care for.

About this competition tie

The Woven Tie is the woven, more formal counterpart of the Knitted Tie. The weave is smoother and denser than the knit, for a classic, sharp look under a dark show jacket. The only accent is a discreet Samshield rivet on the front.

Like the knitted version, it has an integrated hook that keeps the tie straight under the collar after a course or a long day at the ring. 100% polyester, wrinkle-resistant, one size.
