Measuring. Measure with a tape measure around your head, just above your eyebrows and over the widest point at the back. Do that with the hairstyle you also wear under the helmet, because a tight braid easily makes a centimetre of difference.

Fitting. Put the helmet on with the chin strap open and bend forward. If it stays in place and you feel even pressure, the size is right. If it moves with your skin when you turn the helmet slightly, without a point pinching, the liner is right.

Care. Wash the liner at 30°C and let it air dry, away from a heat source. Polish the glossy shell with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards with a clean cloth, which avoids streaks. Do not use abrasives or solvents.

Storage. Keep the helmet in a helmet bag, certainly when travelling. A high gloss shell is more prone to visible scratches than a matt one, so do not let it slide around loose in the boot of the car. Suitable helmet bags can be found in our range.

After a fall. Have the helmet checked or replace it. The inner shell may have taken damage you cannot see from the outside. Samshield provides a check-up and repair service for this.

This helmet suits riders who prefer a classic, glossy look over a matt one, and who want a fine gold-coloured accent. It is suitable for dressage, jumping, training and competition.

Which safety standard does this helmet have?
The helmet is CE certified. The exact certification is stated on the label inside the helmet itself. If you compete, check the current list of accepted standards with the FEI or with your federation, as those requirements are tightening.

What do I do after a fall?
