The Samshield Marceau is men's riding breeches in the Full Grip version from the SS26 collection. The full silicone seat keeps you stable in the saddle, and the technical four-way stretch fabric moves with you in every direction while staying breathable and quick-drying. With an elastic leg finish and a close, well-groomed fit, these breeches suit riders who want to combine performance with a smart appearance.
About these breeches
The Marceau is made as a Full Grip: the silicone runs across the entire seat and the inside of the legs. That gives you grip across your whole contact area with the saddle, and not only at the knee. In practice that means a more stable, more secure-feeling seat: you slide less and have to correct your position less often, which gives you more control and balance without any loss of freedom of movement.
The fabric is a technical material with four-way stretch. Four-way stretch means the weave gives both lengthwise and widthwise. In the saddle the breeches therefore follow every movement, from mounting to sitting work, and then pull smooth again instead of pinching or riding up.
The fabric is also breathable and quick-drying and moves moisture away efficiently. That matters most during intensive training sessions and on warm summer days: the material keeps feeling light and supple instead of turning heavy and clammy. For a collection aimed at spring and summer, that is the most important practical feature.
At the bottom of the leg there is an elastic finish. It closes snugly around the lower leg, so no excess fabric ends up in your riding boot or under your chaps. That is exactly where pressure points otherwise build up, the kind you only feel after an hour in the saddle.
The finish and the close fit give the breeches the understated, well-groomed look Samshield is known for. That makes them just as usable on the training arena as on a competition day, where breeches are expected to still look smart after a long day.
