Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.
Rugs
How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.
Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.
The table below converts the total length from feet to cm. This conversion is the same for every brand.

Product Information
The Samshield Anouchka is a women's competition shirt in which a smooth technical fabric and a crystal mesh sit side by side. At the front the shirt closes with a half-invisible magnetic fastening, and at the neck there is a small slit. Samshield designed the model for showjumping, dressage and hunter. At Maddelin in black and white, in sizes XS to M.
About this competition shirt
What is special about the Anouchka is the magnetic fastening. Samshield finishes the front half-invisibly, with magnets instead of buttons or press studs. That gives a flat line under a show jacket, and you close the shirt in one movement while you already have your gloves on. At the neck sits a small slit, so the fabric does not push against your throat when you put on a tie or stock.
The second feature is the play of materials: the body in a smooth technical fabric, the sleeves in a crystal mesh. Without a jacket that gives an airy picture; under a jacket only the sparkle at the cuffs stays visible. On the collar sits a crest embroidered tone on tone, and at the cuffs a medallion rivet. It is a quieter finish than the models with crystals across the whole sleeve.
About the fabric Samshield says: breathable, high stretch, quick-drying, crease-resistant and pill-resistant, and hard-wearing. For the UPF figure the manufacturer draws an express distinction: it states UPF 50+ for the non-mesh sections, so not for the sleeves. That is a figure from Samshield; it names no standard or test method.
The limits follow from that same play of materials. Mesh is slightly see-through and more vulnerable in the wash than a plain weave. The black version is moreover not a competition choice for classes in which a white shirt or a white collar is asked for: that version is mainly meant for warming up, training and classes where the colour is free. And magnets are handy, but you are better off keeping them away from a bank card or headphones in the same bag.
Samshield states no fibre composition for this model, and no fabric weight and no washing temperature either.
