BR Riding Breeches Maikel Silicone Seat Men

The Maikel comes in White and Forest Green, in sizes S (men's 46), M (men's 48) and L (men's 50). Please note: Forest Green is only available in L, White in all three sizes. Start from your usual men's size; breeches with a silicone seat should fit closely, because breeches that are too loose slide along instead of gripping.

White is the classic competition colour, Forest Green the more practical shade for training days and yard work. If you both train and compete, the two colours cover two uses straight away.

No washing instruction is given, so follow the label in the breeches. For a silicone seat the general rule is: wash inside out at a low temperature, use no fabric softener and do not tumble dry. Softener leaves a film on the silicone and heat damages it; both cost you grip.

If you would rather let your seat move more freely over the saddle, for instance because you mainly ride in light seat, a Knee Grip model within our range is a more logical choice: there the silicone sits only at knee height. Also bear in mind that Forest Green is only available in L and that BR does not state a material composition.

The silicone in a graphic pattern covers the whole seat and continues along the inside of the legs, so you have grip across your entire contact area. Your phone goes in the deep phone pocket, where it stays put when you bend down or are on horseback.

What is the difference between Full Grip and Knee Grip?
Full Grip has silicone across the entire seat and the inside of the legs, which gives more contact with the saddle. Knee Grip has silicone only at knee height and leaves the seat freer. The Maikel has a full silicone seat and therefore belongs to the first group.

Are these breeches suitable for competition?
BR lists both training and competition as situations of use. White is the classic competition colour; do check the rules of your discipline.

What is Soft Micro Touch?
The name BR gives this fabric. It feels light and supple and is breathable, quick-drying and water-repellent.

What does four-way stretch mean?
That the fabric gives in every direction, lengthways and widthways, and then pulls smooth again.

How do I wash these breeches?
