Use the outer rug without the liner on wet, mild days and add the liner when it turns colder. How much warmth your horse needs depends on breed, coat, whether he is clipped, and on wind and damp. Slide your hand under the rug at the withers to check that your horse is neither too warm nor too cold, especially during the first few days.

Choose this bundle if your horse is bigger and broader-built and you want one set to cover both the wet shoulder season and colder spells. With the detachable neck cover and the separate liner, you put the rug together to suit the weather, for any horse turned out, whatever the discipline.

Already have a neck cover or liner? Then the Horseware Rambo Optimo Turnout 0g, which is the outer rug only, is enough. Want a hood but no liner? Go for the Horseware Rambo Optimo Plus Turnout 0g. Place the rug over the back, fasten the chest first with the V-Front Closure, then do up the three surcingles under the belly. Position the tail cord under the tail. How do I measure for the right size?
Measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, to the centre of the tail, then subtract 10 cm. Compare the result with the Horseware size chart.
