Size. We offer this bridle in Cob, the size for a finer or shorter horse's head. Measure your current bridle if you are in doubt, with the noseband length as the main reference.

Fitting. With a crank noseband it is tempting to pull it too far. Do not. Tighten until the strap sits stable and two fingers still fit easily. The system is meant to spread the tension, not to close more firmly. The noseband itself sits about two fingers below the cheekbone.

Care. Clean the smooth leather with saddle soap and then condition it thinly. Round-stitched leather asks for some patience: work the conditioner into the seam as well, because that is where the sweat runs. Patent leather is treated differently: no grease and no soap, just wipe it with a slightly damp, soft cloth and rub it dry. Polish the crystals dry afterwards. Always let wet leather dry quietly at room temperature, far from a heater or the sun. Wipe the reins with a damp cloth and keep them lightly conditioned on the leather side.

SERRENTO suits the dressage or all-round rider who values finish and who wants a complete bridle, reins included. The memory foam headpiece makes it interesting for horses that are sensitive behind the ears, and the crank noseband for anyone looking for a stable, even closure.

If you ride a lot outdoors or in muddy conditions, a plain working bridle from our range is more practical: patent leather and crystals ask for more care. If you want a noseband with a flash strap for extra stability of the bit, look at a model with a combined noseband. What type of noseband does this bridle have?

What does round-stitched mean?
That the leather is folded around a core and stitched closed. The straps therefore have a round cross-section with no sharp edges.

What does memory foam in the headpiece do?
The foam deforms under weight and springs back slowly, so the headpiece moulds to the shape of the poll and the bridle rests on a larger area.

How do I care for the leather?
