Premiere Condor Shaving Head

After every clip, brush the hair and dust out from between the blades and apply a thin film of oil. While clipping you repeat that every few minutes: the oil keeps the blade set cool and the machine running smoothly. Store the blade set dry, because moisture combined with hair residue is what dulls blades fastest. If you clip several horses in a row, it is wise to alternate between two blade sets so that one can always cool down.

Set the cutting height before you start and check the result on a small piece of coat before you carry on over the whole body. If the blade set goes blunt over time, you do not have to replace it straight away: we sharpen blades and blade sets of all makes and all machines. Hand the blade set in properly cleaned, in the shop or sent in, and count on a wait of one to two weeks.

Choose this blade set if you work with a Premiere Condor and your current blade set is worn, or if you want a second one ready before the clipping season. Thanks to the adjustable cutting height, this single blade set covers both short finishing and a slightly longer, even clip, so for most situations at the yard you do not need a second type.

If you work with a different machine, look at the parts for that brand. For the Heiniger Xperience, Xplorer and Progress you need screw-on blade sets, for example the 31/15 or the fine 31F/15. For the Heiniger Saphir and Opal or the Wahl KM Supera those are snap-on blade sets. If you are unsure which machine you have, let us know before you order.

Does this fit my clipper?
This blade set is made for the Premiere Condor. It does not fit machines with screw-on blades, such as the Heiniger Xperience, Xplorer and Progress, and nor does it fit machines that work with A5 snap-on blade sets, such as the Heiniger Saphir and Opal or the Wahl KM Supera. If your machine is not listed, do get in touch with us before you order.

How short does this blade set clip?
You set it between 0.5 and 2 mm. At 0.5 mm you leave hardly any hair; at 2 mm you keep a short but even coat.

When is my old blade set due for replacement?
When lines are left behind, when the machine has to push through the coat or when hair is pulled. Those are the signs that the blades are blunt.

Can I have this blade set sharpened instead of replacing it?
You can, we sharpen all makes and all machines. Hand the blade set in properly cleaned, because uncleaned equipment brings a surcharge with it. The wait is one to two weeks.

How do I look after the blade set?
Brush the hair out from between the blades after every use, apply a thin film of oil and store the blade set dry. While clipping you re-oil every few minutes.

Why does the blade set get warm while clipping?
Through friction between the blades and through hair building up between the teeth. Lubricating and brushing regularly limits that; on long sessions it is best to alternate with a second blade set.
