The Pikeur Linnett Winter Softshell GripTec is the winter version of the Linnett. Pikeur describes the 6555 Highwaist Winter model as having a thermadynamic winter softshell with a matt look, a light fleece inner side, Full Grip with no knee seam, a high waist and a phone pocket on each side. The fabric is 76% polyamide and 24% elastane. Maddelin carries them in chocolate, in sizes XS, M, L and XL.
About these riding tights
If you know the Linnett as summer riding tights, you will find the same line here in a winter fabric. Pikeur launched the model as the Linnett Tight GripTec 6555 Highwaist Winter, in the Selection collection for autumn/winter 2025. The chocolate version that Maddelin carries has article number 246555-495.
Winter softshell with a fleece inner side
Pikeur speaks of a thermadynamic winter softshell with a matt look. The fabric has a sturdy construction and, according to Pikeur, holds its shape very well. On the inside it has a light fleece. The composition is 76% polyamide and 24% elastane; Pikeur does not publish what the fleece inner side itself is made of. Pikeur says nothing about water-repellent or windproof properties.
Grip and seams
The grip is GripTec, Pikeur's silicone print, in Selection design. Pikeur describes it as a full grip (Full Grip), with no knee seam. The seams are taped and elastic; Pikeur says they leave no marks and are comfortable to wear.
Waist and pockets
The waist sits high. The waistband is made from the outer fabric, with an elastic insert. On both sides there is a stripe with an integrated phone pocket, and the phone pocket carries puffy lettering with crystal pearls. At the front there are slanted pockets, at the back mock piped pockets, both with a crystal pearl appliqué. The leg ends are bound.
Linnett or Linn for winter?
Maddelin has two Pikeur winter models with a high waist and Full Grip. This Linnett has a fleece inner side, two phone pockets and crystal pearl details. The Winter Linn SD (Linn SO 6355) is a softshell with a soft inner side, a single phone pocket in the side stripe and a sock cuff at the bottom.
For the cold months
Wear the Linnett Winter when summer stretch breeches feel too thin: early-morning schooling, an outdoor arena in January, a walk in hand with your horse or a long day on the yard. Chocolate is a dark colour for schooling and everyday riding.

High waist with an elastic insert in the waistband. There is no button and no zip: you pull the Linnett Winter on like any riding tights. Pikeur does not say whether the Linnett Winter comes up large or small.
Under Maddelin's size conversion (not a Pikeur chart): XS = Pikeur size 34, M = 38, L = 40, XL = 42.
If you are between two sizes, Maddelin generally recommends the larger one.
