Dy'on Patent Large Crank Noseband White pad. & Flash - New English

A crank noseband lets you tighten more finely than an ordinary noseband, and that is exactly why it pays to adjust it deliberately. Keep two fingers of room between the noseband and the nasal bone. Being able to do it up tighter does not mean you should.

Only adjust the flash strap once the noseband itself sits well. Let it run loosely under the bit, so the bit stays stable without pulling the mouth shut. If you ride without the flash strap, you simply take it off.

Patent leather is cared for differently from smooth leather. Wipe it with a lightly damp, soft cloth and dry it afterwards. Do not use leather grease or thick balm on the patent surface: it does not soak in and leaves dull patches. The untreated edges and the inside may be lightly treated with leather care. Do not leave patent leather in full sun or against a heat source and do not store it folded, because creases in patent do not come out. Keep the white lining clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry.

This noseband is intended for dressage riders who want to upgrade their existing bridle or who want a second noseband to switch between training and competition. The combination of black patent leather with a white lining is a classic dressage look.

If you want a complete bridle rather than a separate part, choose one of the bridles from our range. If you prefer to ride without a flash strap and without a crank fastening, an ordinary noseband or a grackle noseband makes more sense. And for anyone who prefers a plain, matt appearance, smooth leather is a quieter choice than patent.
