This version is offered in size Full. If in doubt, measure your current bridle: lay it out flat and note the length of the noseband, the cheekpieces and the headpiece. Compare those figures, because size names differ from brand to brand.

Leave the noseband loose enough to fit two fingers underneath, and fasten the flash strap looser than the noseband. If the browband sits against the base of the ears it is too short, and your horse will shake his head against it.

New vegetable-tanned leather needs a breaking-in period. Treat the bridle lightly with leather balm before first use and repeat that a few times over the first weeks. After that, clean with mild leather soap and feed with balm. Polish the brass fittings dry now and then with a soft cloth and avoid aggressive metal cleaners on the leather.

You choose the Olympic when you want a clean, classic bridle with an anatomical headpiece and still one detail that gives the whole thing character. It suits dressage, jumping and eventing, and daily training just as well.

If you ride with silver-coloured fittings on the rest of your equipment, a model with stainless steel buckles from our range is a better match; brass and stainless steel mixed together looks restless. If you want a bridle without any decorative accent, look at a version with a plain curved browband. And if you are looking for a size other than Full, ask us about the options.
