Size guide

A correct size is essential for both comfort and performance in equestrian sports. At Maddelin Equestrian, we are happy to help you choose the right size so that your equipment fits perfectly—whether it's riding apparel, helmets, boots, or accessories.
A well-fitting outfit not only ensures greater comfort but also better performance in the saddle. Clothing that is too tight or too loose can restrict your freedom of movement and affect your aids. Therefore, we recommend always measuring accurately and using our size charts as a guide.
Our size charts are organized by product category and brand, allowing you to choose as precisely as possible. Because fits can vary by brand, you will find specific information with each product to guide you.
How to measure correctly?
For the best results, always measure with a flexible tape measure, close to the body but without tightening.
-
Chest circumference: measure around the widest part of the chest
-
Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your waist
-
Hips: measure around the widest part of the hips
-
Inseam length: measure from groin to ankle
-
Head circumference (helmets): measure just above the eyebrows and ears
-
Calf circumference & height (boots/chaps): measure the widest part of the calf and the height from heel to hollow of the knee
If you are in doubt between two sizes? We usually advise choosing the larger size for extra comfort, unless otherwise stated with the product.
At Maddelin, we believe that the right fit makes all the difference between just riding and truly riding well. Use our size charts as a guide and confidently choose the size that suits you and your horse.
Fager Nina Titanium Bit – Fixed Rings
For horses that need peace, stability, and comfort in the mouth
The Fager Nina with fixed rings is a tongue-friendly titanium bit specially designed for horses that are sensitive in the mouth, quickly develop sores, or have difficulty with constant pressure. This bit promotes a stable, relaxed connection and, thanks to its design, lies very quietly in the mouth.
Perfect for horses that:
Easily get sores or chafing
Have difficulty with constant tongue pressure
Are insecure or unstable in contact
Seek more support without becoming tight or stiff
Need a soft, forgiving connection
What makes Fager Nina unique
Barrel mouthpiece with natural locking
The cylindrical "barrel" piece moves in a controlled manner and ensures a stable position without pressure peaks. The bit naturally conforms to the tongue while relieving pressure on the bars.
Solid Titanium – light, strong, and hypoallergenic
The Anoblast™ treated titanium is super light, durable, and ideal for sensitive horses. It stimulates salivation and feels warm in the mouth.
Fixed rings for extra stability
Fixed rings give the bit a quieter position in the mouth, which is perfect for horses that prefer peace and do not respond well to too much movement.
Perfect balance point (BP)
Thanks to its straight design, the balance point remains in the correct position, ensuring clear and consistent communication from the rider's hand.
Competition allowed
Permitted in most disciplines, including dressage.
Expert tip:
Alternate Nina with other Fager bits to vary pressure points and keep your horse fresh and relaxed during training.
Do you want a calmer contact, less tension in the mouth, and a happier horse? Then the Fager Nina with fixed rings is definitely worth trying!
