Brush off loose mud and sand first, so the mousse works on the stain itself rather than on the dirt on top of it. Apply it to the area or to a cloth, let it work for a moment as NAF states, then wipe away with a clean cloth. Do not rub too hard: you are treating a stain, not scrubbing.

If you are plaiting or finishing off afterwards, work from top to bottom so you do not dirty clean areas again.
