What is Simuwool?

What is the difference with the Motionflex without faux fur?

The same model, but this version has a Simuwool edging around the rim and a 3D mesh lining, which makes it a little fuller and softer. The version without faux fur has a flat mesh lining and stays thinner and flatter.

May I use them in the dressage arena?

Not at international dressage events. Boots and bandages are forbidden in the competition arena and must already be off before entering the space around the competition arena. In the warm-up arena and during training they are allowed. For national competitions, the rules of the national federation apply.

Can they go in the washing machine?

No. LeMieux prescribes washing by hand in lukewarm water and explicitly no machine washing, even though the Simuwool material itself is washable. Then let them air dry.

Does the fur not hold a lot of sand?

The edging keeps out the sand and dust that would drop into the boot from above; that is exactly the point. Comb the fur out with your fingers or a soft brush after the ride and the sand falls out.
