How to choose your size. Measure your head circumference with a tape measure, about a finger's width above your eyebrows and around the widest point at the back of your head. This version comes in size M (55-58 cm). A helmet should sit firmly without a pressure point: it must not turn when you shake your head, and must not slip forward when you bend over. If your measurement falls right on the borderline, try the helmet on first.

Care. Wipe the shell with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let the helmet dry at room temperature, away from a heat source or bright sun. Do not use solvents or abrasive products, not on the Chrome Gold parts either and certainly not on the Crystal Fabric. Keep the liner fresh and store the helmet in a helmet bag.

Checking and replacing. If you have had a fall in which your head was struck, stop using the helmet until it has been checked. The EPS inner shell may have absorbed energy without anything showing on the outside. Have the helmet inspected or replace it. Also check now and then that the shell has no hairline cracks and that the chin strap still closes properly.

This version is meant for riders who want a black helmet with a gold accent and who prefer the wider Miss Shield peak over a short one. It works in the dressage arena, on a jumping course and in daily training, and it combines easily with brown leather and gold buckles.

If you are looking for a completely understated competition helmet, a black version with black or silver trim from our Samshield range is the quieter choice. Chrome Gold reads warmer than chrome or silver and combines easily with brown leather and gold buckles. If you want a cooler line, a silver or black trim makes more sense.
