Is your child on the border between 110-116 and 122-128? Measure their height, compare with the LeMieux size chart and feel free to ask us for advice. LeMieux does not say whether the model runs large or small, so do not go a size up or down on instinct.

Use the leggings for lessons, accompanied short hacks, pony camp and grooming at the yard. Under jodhpur boots or short riding boots with half chaps, leggings without bulky seams or a fastening sit neatly.

After riding, turn the leggings inside out and machine wash at 30°C maximum, separately and with a mild detergent. No fabric softener, no bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron and do not dry clean. Drying naturally is all they need.

These leggings suit a young rider of around 5 to 8 who has just started or has a weekly lesson, and parents who want riding breeches their child can put on alone.

Which size should I choose?
In Lagoon you can choose between 110-116 (age 5-6) and 122-128 (age 7-8). LeMieux bases the Mini sizes on age; your child's height and the brand's size chart are the best guide. If in doubt, get in touch with the shop.

Why leggings for a beginner rider rather than riding breeches?
The big difference is the fastening. Riding breeches have a zip and a button, leggings never do. For a young child, that means putting them on alone, and nothing pressing at the waist.

Full grip or knee grip, what is the difference?
Full grip means silicone across the seat and the inside of the legs, as on these leggings. Knee grip sits only on the inside of the knee. Both give stability and contact; which feel your child prefers is a personal matter.

How do I wash these leggings?
In the machine at 30°C, inside out, separately and with a mild detergent. Leave out fabric softener and bleach, do not use a tumble dryer or an iron, and do not have the leggings dry cleaned.

Does Lagoon come in bigger sizes too?
This Mini legging goes up to 122-128 in Lagoon. The Orla Pull Ons Legging Kids from the Young Rider range also comes in Lagoon, including in 146-152 and 158-164.

Can my child wear these in a competition?
Lagoon is not white or beige, which are the usual competition colours. Check the rules of your discipline and federation. These leggings are made for lessons, pony camp and the yard.
