Maximilian uses its own size scale and itself recommends choosing the size by the child's height, not by age. On our site the size is shown in centimetres with the age alongside: 122-128 (age 7-8) and 134-140 (age 9-10), in both colours. Measure your child and get in touch with the shop if in doubt.

Choose the YR Pro Riding Leggings for a child of roughly 7 to 10 who puts comfort first, wants to be able to get dressed on their own and wants grip on the seat. Rose Taupe and Aqua are colours for lessons, training and pony camp.

If they need to go to competitions, white or beige riding breeches are more usual: at Maximilian, those are the YR Performance in white (boys) and the YR Vision in beige, both riding breeches with a fastening.

Your child pulls the leggings on with no zip or buttons, so they can get ready for the lesson on their own. The silicone grip runs across the entire seat. The two large front pockets hold a hair tie, for example.

Are these leggings only for dressage?
No. Full grip tells you where the grip is, not which discipline it is for. Maximilian tests the Young Rider line with riders from all disciplines.

Do the leggings have pockets?
Yes, two large pockets at the front.

Can my child wear the leggings in summer and in winter?
Maximilian intends this model for year-round wear. The brand says nothing about any lining or insulation.
