Product Information
The Maximilian YR Performance is a pair of white full grip riding breeches for boys. YR stands for Young Rider, Maximilian's youth line. Full grip means the grip runs over the seat and down the inside of the legs. White is the classic competition colour, but these breeches work just as well for lessons. They come in four sizes, from 110-116 (age 5-6) to 146-152 (age 11-12).
About these breeches
On full grip breeches, the grip is not limited to the knee: it also covers the seat and the inside of the legs. That gives hold over a larger contact area with the saddle. Some children like that feeling, others prefer grip at the knee only. It is a matter of feel, not of level.
Full grip is not reserved for dressage riders either. When some brands call their full grip models "dressage", that tells you about the grip type, not about who may wear them. A boy who jumps or mostly hacks out can ride in them just as well.
The YR Performance is a pair of riding breeches, and riding breeches have a fastening. That is the difference from riding leggings, which you pull on without a zip or buttons.
To be fair: Maximilian has not published a fabric composition, care instructions or further finishing details for the YR Performance. So we only list what is certain here: the model, the grip type, the colour and the sizes. For everything else, the label inside the breeches is what counts.
