The Samshield Marceau SS25 is a pair of men's riding breeches in the Full Grip version, made from breathable four-way stretch. Perforated zones at the calves provide extra ventilation, the fabric is UPF 50+ and stays crease-free and pilling-free. Made for riders looking for close-fitting, polished breeches that work in the saddle and at the yard alike.
About these breeches
The Marceau is the Full Grip version within this line: a full silicone seat that runs across the seat and the inside of the legs. That keeps you sitting more stably and shifting less in the saddle, which counts most when you want to work quietly and precisely with your seat.
The fabric is a breathable four-way stretch. Four-way stretch means the weave gives in every direction, lengthways and crossways. In the saddle you feel that when you bend your knee or let your hip follow: the breeches follow your movement and then pull smooth again, instead of pinching or shifting.
At calf level, the fabric is perforated. Those small openings let air through exactly where it gets warmest under your boot or chaps, which makes a difference on longer, more intensive rides. The material is also UPF 50+, a value indicating how much UV radiation the fabric blocks, and therefore relevant when you do a lot of outdoor work.
The fabric stays crease-free and pilling-free: it lies smooth and does not form little bobbles after repeated wearing or washing. That is what keeps the breeches looking polished even after a season, and it is exactly why you can take them from the arena to the yard without changing.
The finish is understated: a subtle embroidered Samshield logo, an elasticated front pocket and a button fastening on the back pocket. The fit is modern and close-cut.
