About this riding helmet

The Verv® Matt is designed for riders looking for a safe, comfortable and versatile riding helmet with a timeless matte appearance. Safety features, a finely adjustable fit and interchangeable components come together in one hat.

The base is a corrugated dual ABS outer shell with a reinforced polycarbonate rim. That construction protects against impact, penetration and pressure in line with the latest international safety standards. The helmet is dual certified to EN 1384:2023 and ASTM F1163-23 and carries both the BSI Kitemark and the SEI mark, so the Verv® meets current safety requirements for most national and international equestrian disciplines, depending on the competition rules that apply.

A stable fit comes from the 360° Wrap-Fit system. The dial at the back spreads the tension evenly around the head, reducing pressure points and keeping the helmet in place. Fine-tune it with the included removable 5 mm and 10 mm lining rings. The removable headliner is washable, by hand or on a delicate machine cycle at 30°C in a wash bag, so the helmet stays fresh even with intensive use.

The integrated airflow system works on the Coandă effect, where a stream of air keeps following a curved surface. Warm air is carried out through well-placed vents without taking anything away from the helmet's protective properties.

Changes are made without tools. The magnetic top panel and the three magnetic peaks swap over by hand: the helmet comes with a narrow peak, a wide peak and a brim peak, so you can pick the look that suits your discipline or your taste. Check before every ride that the top panel is properly attached.

The streamlined harness with integrated attachment points follows the line of the face and closes with a Duraflex quick-release buckle that is quick to handle and comfortable to wear. For its design and function, the LeMieux Verv® was awarded both the Red Dot Award 2026 and the iF Design Award.

Whether you may change the peak after a competition check depends on the organiser. At some shows the helmet has to stay in exactly the configuration that passed the safety check, so ask before your test.

After any impact or fall, replace both the helmet and the top panel, even when there is no visible damage. LeMieux also advises replacement after roughly three to five years of careful use.

This helmet suits competition riders and ambitious leisure riders in dressage, jumping, eventing, pony club and hunting, and in other disciplines where these standards are recognised. If you only need a traditional skull cap without a peak, or the rules prescribe a different helmet configuration, another model will serve you better.
