LeMieux Verv® Riding Helmet Gloss

The LeMieux Verv® Riding Helmet Gloss is a competition helmet for riders who want safety, comfort and a look of their own in one hat. It pairs a double ABS shell with the 360° Wrap-Fit adjustment system and with interchangeable magnetic panels and peaks. About this riding helmet

The Verv® Gloss has a glossy navy finish and a low profile, which gives it a modern, understated line. It was developed for riders who train or compete on a regular basis.

Safety starts with the construction. The corrugated double ABS outer shell is combined with a reinforced polycarbonate brim, so the helmet withstands impact, penetration and pressure as current safety standards require. The Verv® is dual certified to EN 1384:2023 and ASTM F1163-23 and carries both the BSI Kitemark and the SEI mark. That makes it suitable for most national and international equestrian disciplines, depending on the rules that apply to you.

The fit is set with the 360° Wrap-Fit system. Using the dial at the back, the helmet closes evenly all around the head, which reduces pressure points and keeps it stable while you ride. For a closer fit still, use the removable 5 mm or 10 mm lining rings. The removable headband is washable: by hand, or on a delicate cycle at 30°C in a wash bag.

For ventilation, LeMieux uses the Coandă effect, the way a stream of air keeps following a curved surface. Warm air is drawn out through vents placed where they do the most good, without taking anything away from the helmet's protective properties.

Personalising is done with the magnetic top panel and the interchangeable magnetic peaks. The helmet comes with a narrow peak, a wide peak and a brim peak, all of which swap over without tools. The top panel is designed to come away on impact as part of the energy-absorbing design, so check before every ride that it is properly seated.

The streamlined harness sits close along the face and has integrated attachment points and a slim Duraflex quick-release buckle. The helmet goes on and off quickly and stays comfortable through long training or competition days. For its design and function, the Verv® received both a Red Dot Award 2026 and an iF Design Award.

One practical note on the peaks: you may swap them as long as the competition rules allow the configuration you choose. Some organisations require the helmet to stay in exactly the same configuration after the safety check, so ask before you go in.

After any fall or impact, replace both the helmet and the top panel, even when there is nothing to see on the outside. LeMieux also advises replacement after roughly three to five years of careful use.

The Verv® Gloss suits competition riders and keen leisure riders who spend a lot of hours in the saddle. Wear it for dressage, show jumping, eventing, pony club and hunting, and in other disciplines where these standards are accepted.
