Choose these reins when you want grip from small pimples and need the three sizes because you ride both pony and horse. Pick the multicolour version if you or your child are working on a consistent rein length; the plain colours if you are after an ordinary grip rein that matches your leatherwork.

The length per size, the manufacturer does not specify this, so compare with the reins you already ride if you are in doubt between two sizes. The multicolour version is above all a teaching aid: put a rider on the pony, have them take the rein on the same coloured section and you have a fixed reference point to return to. For competition you will usually choose Black or Brown.

What are the coloured sections for?

They can be used as a visual aid to judge your rein length. You see where your hand takes the rein and can return to that point every time. That function belongs to the multicolour version, not to Black or Brown.

How big are the pimples?

Is a multicolour rein allowed in a dressage test?
