Product Information
The LeMieux Loire Fly Hood is an elegant and functional fly hood for horses, designed to complement the LeMieux Loire collection. It combines hand-crocheted cotton with elastic ear fabric and a distinctive satin trim. The fly hood is available in various colors, allowing you to match it with the coordinating Loire saddle pads and other items from the collection.
About this fly hood
The main body is hand-crocheted from 100% cotton. The crocheted construction provides a breathable structure, while the four-way stretch contributes to a snug fit under the bridle. This ensures the fly hood fits neatly around the horse's head without creating excessive bulk under the bridle.
For the ears, LeMieux uses a soft and elastic fabric made from 95% nylon and 5% spandex. These flexible ear covers fit snugly around the ears and are designed to help reduce disturbance from flies, dust, and other distractions. This makes the Loire Fly Hood suitable for both daily training sessions and occasions when you want to create a polished competition look, provided its use is permitted by the applicable competition rules.
A characteristic feature of the Loire line is its refined finish. The front of the fly hood features a satin patch made of 100% polyester, combined with a matching silicone LeMieux logo badge. Cord trim and piping align with the aesthetic of the rest of the collection.
A practical button loop is also incorporated into the design. The Loire Fly Hood is thus not only focused on appearance but also on neat and stable placement in combination with the bridle.
For a complete set, you can combine the fly hood with a LeMieux Loire saddle pad in a matching color. This allows you to create a cohesive outfit for your horse within the same collection.
