Between two sizes? We usually recommend the larger size, unless stated otherwise on the product. In our experience, Italian brands (such as Animo, Cavalleria Toscana and Vestrum) tend to come up small.

Rugs

How to measure your horse: using a soft tape measure, measure from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulder, horizontally along the body to the furthest point of the hindquarters. This is the total length.

Always check the brand's size chart. A rug size in cm (for example 125 or 145) is the back length for most brands, and how it converts to feet differs per brand. Some brands, such as Bucas, also measure differently. That's why every rug comes with the brand's own size information.

The LeMieux Brilliance Diana is a ladies' show jacket with perforated mesh panels and fine rhinestones along the lapels and the waistband. You can choose between black, espresso and navy, in sizes XS to XXXL. A jacket for riders who want a refined look in the ring and at the same time look for ventilation on warm competition days.

About this show jacket

The Brilliance Diana starts from a classic competition line and finishes it with details you only notice close up. The princess seams at the front follow the body and create an elegant silhouette that sits nicely, while the pleated finish at the back gives the jacket a feminine line. The result looks polished without anything being overdone.

What sets this jacket apart in practice are the strategically placed perforated mesh panels. They are there for ventilation: on a show day in July a closed jacket stays warm between the warm-up and your test, and that is exactly when open zones in the fabric do their work. So you can keep the jacket on longer without it getting stuffy.

The rhinestones are applied with hotfix along the lapels and the rear waistband. They catch the light without turning the jacket into a statement piece, which in the show ring is usually just what you want. The press studs carry the LeMieux LM monogram, a finishing detail that underlines the premium character of the Brilliance line.

With black, espresso and navy this jacket covers three different yard looks. Black remains the most neutral choice for dressage, navy is the classic alternative that looks softer in daylight, and espresso is the warmest of the three and sits nicely with brown leather and brown riding boots.

This jacket suits riders who want a little more at a show than a plain, strict model, but who do not want to go the full glitter route. It can be used in dressage, show jumping and eventing and comes into its own in the summer season, when the ventilation really counts.
