Product Information
The LeMieux Breakaway Vogue Headcollar with Lead Rope is the breakaway version of the popular Vogue headcollar. This AW26 variant combines strong and durable nylon webbing with soft neoprene padding and two specially designed hook-and-loop fasteners that can release in an emergency. A matching lead rope is included.
About this headcollar
The breakaway function is located at both the headpiece and the noseband. These hook-and-loop fasteners are designed as release points. This makes the headcollar suitable for use in the pasture when you deliberately choose a headcollar with a release function. However, no breakaway system offers complete safety. Correct fit, regular material checks, and your own assessment of the horse and environment remain essential.
For the horse's comfort, the headpiece and nose are equipped with quick-drying neoprene padding. This lining helps distribute pressure evenly. The cheekpieces are also lined to help prevent rubbing. The quick-drying material also makes the headcollar practical for use in the field.
The fit can be adjusted in multiple places. The headpiece has a double buckle, and the headcollar can also be adjusted at the chin. This allows for a more precise fit around the horse's head.
A key difference from a standard Vogue headcollar is the addition of the two breakaway fasteners. With this model, not only is daily comfort central, but a mechanism is also provided whereby the headcollar can release in an emergency.
Always keep the hook-and-loop fasteners free from dirt and hair so that the breakaway function can work as effectively as possible. Regularly check the headcollar for wear or damage and store it clean and dry when not in use.
