The bridle comes in Pony, Cob and Full. Do not go by height alone: a fine head on a big horse sometimes calls for Cob, while a broad head on a smaller horse is better served by Full. Measure the noseband circumference and the cheekpiece length of your current bridle and compare.

Adjust the noseband first, and only then the flash strap. There should be room for two fingers under the noseband; never tighten the flash strap more than the noseband itself, and it belongs under the bit, not on top of it. Check that the padded headpiece lies flat behind the ears and that the browband does not press against the base of the ears anywhere.

New leather is a little stiff at first. Treat the bridle with a thin layer of leather balm before you use it for the first time and repeat this regularly in the first few weeks; it will break in faster. Otherwise the usual routine applies: clean with a slightly damp cloth, dry at room temperature, and every few cleans use leather soap followed by balm.

Choose this bridle if you ride dressage or jumping and are looking for a classic, neat bridle with a fine noseband and a flash strap. It is a good choice when your horse benefits from a wider headpiece but you still want to keep an elegant line.

If you would rather have a crossed model that carries the noseband higher over the head, a bridle with a grackle noseband from our range makes more sense. If you ride without a flash strap, you are better off with a model that has only a noseband. Bear in mind, too, that reins are not supplied here.
