Always clip a clean, dry coat. Sand and dust blunt a blade set faster than any number of clips does, so brush your horse out thoroughly first. Oil the blade set at the start of every clip and repeat it regularly while you work: oil keeps the teeth cool and lets them run smoothly over each other. Afterwards, brush the hairs out from between the teeth and store the clipper dry.

Have a second A5 blade set ready when you clip several horses in a row. That way the first can cool down while you carry on. Clipper oil, spare blade sets and our sharpening service are part of the same range, so your blade sets are sharp again in time before the clipping season starts.

Choose the KM Supera if you regularly clip whole horses and do not want to be tied to a socket: at the yard, at a show or at clients' homes. The combination of two batteries and a quickly changed A5 blade set is especially interesting when you do several horses in a row.

If you work with a machine that takes screw-on blades, for instance from the Heiniger Xperience or Progress range, those blades are not interchangeable with the A5 blade sets of this clipper.

You click the A5 blade set onto the clipper without tools. The speed of 3700 rpm is adjustable in two settings: higher for a thick coat, lower for more control when finishing. Charge one battery while the other is in the clipper; each gives up to 150 minutes.

The KM Supera works with detachable A5 blade sets, the snap-on system you change without tools. Blade sets listed as A5 compatible fit this machine. If you are unsure about a particular blade set, get in touch before you order.

Does a Wahl 5-in-1 blade fit this clipper?
No. The 5-in-1 is a separate Wahl system for trimmers such as the Admire and the Adelar. That blade does not fit an A5 machine, and conversely an A5 blade set does not fit a 5-in-1 tool.

How long can I clip with this clipper?
Each battery gives up to 150 minutes of clipping time and there are two of them. By charging the second while you work, in practice you do not have to stop.

Can I clip a whole horse with it?
Yes, the machine is meant for full clipping and for finishing. Which cutting height you end up with depends on the A5 blade set you fit.

Does a number on a blade set mean the same thing everywhere?
No. The cutting height behind a number differs by brand and by range. So always look at the millimetres stated on the blade set itself.

How do I maintain this clipper?
After every clip, brush the hairs out from between the teeth, oil the blade set regularly while clipping and store the tool dry. Have blade sets sharpened in good time as soon as they go through the coat more slowly.

How quiet is this clipper?
